Welcome Back!

We are thrilled to welcome visitors back to Lake Tahoe after the recent Caldor Fire. Thanks to the tireless work of all the front-line heroes and agencies who worked to protect our town and forests, Tahoe South is open and thriving. It’s the perfect time to secure your wedding date!

Rustic elegance and charm is the centerpiece at Valhalla Historic Estate in Lake Tahoe. If you love the Old Tahoe Style and the beauty of crystal clear teal water, pine forests and white-capped mountains, the Valhalla Historic Estate is exactly what you’ve been looking for for your wedding venue! Couples love our classic Lake Tahoe wedding venue because they are able to add their own chapter to a long story of happy, memorable Lake Tahoe weddings at Valhalla!

The main lodge was built in 1924 and features elegant hardwood floors and French doors that open to a wraparound porch overlooking Lake Tahoe. The Grand Hall also features a stone fireplace and lighting that makes it appear like the room is glowing. With seating for up to 130 guests, the Grand Hall is the perfect spot for a more intimate reception!

Our number one piece of advice for couples planning a wedding in Lake Tahoe is to choose a venue that you connect with the most and then hire a great vendor team to take care of the details. Valhalla Historic Estate allows you to personalize the wedding venue while also finding wedding vendors that fit your vision and budget. Get ready before the ceremony in our two dressing rooms located upstairs for brides and grooms. We will also provide all of the tables and chairs that you’ll need for your big day. Finding a great vendor team will make your life easier and will allow you to focus on the moment, not the little details.

After the reception, you and your guests can take the steps from the patio down to the Grand Lawn where you can sip cocktails and enjoy a delicious meal handcrafted for your big day. Tall pines surround the area, enclosing your party and making you feel like you’ve stepped into your own personal paradise. After dinner, step back into the Grand Hall to dance under the antique lanterns and market lights.
