Whether you’re just getting acquainted with your future spouse’s parents or you’ve known them for years, a thoughtful gift will be a great memory of your wedding. You can tailor the present to their personalities (or not if you don’t know them well yet) thanks to all the possibilities in Tahoe South.
For the active ILTB (in-laws-to-be)
Treat them to a unique lakeview adventure. Depending on the season, send them parasailing or snowmobiling from Zephyr Cove Resort or for a zip line ride or skiing/boarding at Heavenly.

Unforgettable: An adrenaline rush with a 360-degree view when you give your in-laws-to-be a Zephyr Cove Resort parasail flight or ridgeline snowmobile ride. Photos courtesy of Zephyr Cove Resort.
If they like the water, kayak, SUP, powerboat and Jet Ski rentals are easy to arrange from the onsite marina at the Beach Retreat & Lodge and other locations. And if they play golf, there’s no course quite like Edgewood Tahoe from spring through early fall.

Spectacular surroundings, including one huge water hazard (JK), could make a round of golf an ideal golfer-in-law gift. Photo courtesy of Edgewood Tahoe.
Really relaxing
Who wouldn’t appreciate a spa gift certificate, whether it’s for an alpine-themed massage or other rejuvenating treatment? Spa choices range from shoreline, The Landing Resort & Spa, to mountaintop, Elevation Spa at The Ridge Tahoe.

Tastefully done
For foodies, fresh, seasonal dining is easy to arrange in Tahoe South. Several resorts host distinctive restaurants, like Jimmy’s at The Landing Resort & Spa, Echo at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel and The Boathouse on the Pier at Beach Retreat & Lodge at Tahoe.
A little off the beaten path is the intimate Evan’s American Gourmet Café. The seven-table Café Fiore is known for an extensive wine list as well as the signature eggplant crepes. If your ILTBs are music fans, you can add rockstar memorabilia to their meal at Hard Rock Cafe | Lake Tahoe.

You hardly know them (yet)
If you’d be more comfortable letting them pick out their own memento (or you know they like to shop), a gift card for the fun Shops at Heavenly Village is another great way to say thanks for being here…and thanks for being the parents of a great person.
